COMMUNICATIONS

Mobile telephones work reasonably well, depending on the service provider.

Mobile internet, via a SIM card, though it does work, is very slow and very unreliable in the hills and forests around here, and Ibraheem put up with it for more than six months.

Finally, on 16 February 2013, TOOWAY satellite internet was successfully installed at #35, this runs via KA-SAT, and it is not cheap but works very well and has an overall system up-time of 99.5 percent.

Technically, the signal from #35
could be relayed via a radio link to #2, so saving the expense of 2 full satellite installations - more about this later.
